Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Charles Omenihu suffered a torn ACL in the AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens, sources told Jonathan Jones of CBS.

Omenihu sustained the ailment in the second quarter while trying to chase down quarterback Lamar Jackson. He was forced to leave the contest and didn't return. Omenihu made a key play in the game, strip-sacking Jackson early in the second quarter.

The 26-year-old was having the best year of his career after signing a two-year deal with the Chiefs in March. He had career highs in sacks (seven) and tackles (28) in 11 regular-season games.

Omenihu was suspended for the first six games of the season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Kansas City's defensive end depth chart includes George Karlaftis, Mike Danna, Felix Anudike-Uzomah, BJ Thompson, and Malik Herring.
