PC refuses to boot from USB drive when a particular monitor is attached
by beachboy2 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6J8J4)
Using the same PC with a Gigabyte motherboard (boot menu key: F12 and Linux Mint 21.2, I tried to boot from a USB drive.
Firstly:
1. Using a Samsung SyncMaster 932MW computer monitor (LS19PMASF), I repeatedly tapped F12 and the PC continued to boot up with LM.

Secondly:
2. I tried the same thing using a Samsung F24T450FQR - T45F Series (see link below) and after a single press of F12, the Boot Menu was shown and I selected USB.
The PC booted from the USB drive without any hesitation.

Has anybody had a similar experience?
I have never failed to boot a computer from a USB drive previously and I cannot understand what effect the Samsung SyncMaster 932MW can be having to cause this problem.
Any suggestions?
