Artifacting on dark backgrounds
by BorisBV5 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6K19V)
So i recently switched to linux, and have constantly been seeing artifacting that sort of looks like compression artifacts on any dark images, but only on my second monitor, my primary is the laptops built in display, and i used the second one (some cheap aoc monitor) for watching movies because of better colors, contrast brightness and everything, but now on dark scenes i am getting large amounts of artifacts.
It is also worse in some applications than others.
I know there are some problems with nvidia on linux and my laptop runs an mx110 mobile card so i am currently suspecting that to be the issue.
I am on ubuntu 22.04 and am running nvidia driver version 535.161.07.
Has anybody had a similar experience or knows a fix?
