The Kansas City Chiefs are re-signing linebacker Drue Tranquill to a three-year, $19-million contract that includes $13 million fully guaranteed, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Tranquill is coming off his first season with the Chiefs after spending the first four years of his career with the Los Angeles Chargers. He started eight regular-season games for Kansas City in 2023.

The 28-year-old racked up 78 total tackles (seven for loss), 4.5 sacks, a pair of forced fumbles, and seven quarterback hits in 16 appearances. He added another 21 tackles in the postseason.

Tranquill has 376 total tackles (26 for loss), 11 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one interception in 63 career games.
