safe to remove usb drive
by RomanAsh666 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6K75W)
Hi.
Im not sure how to present the issue...
I use many external drives.
And when you do it a lot, little things become annoying...
I understand that the reason we need to use function "safely unmount" is because some chnages we make on the drive,
dont actually happen until you safely unmount.
The reason for this as i was told is to save on resources.
Can i change that?
I damage two drives a year because i unmount the wrong one,
and pull the plug.
I dont care if it stalls the system while performing the functions in "live". As long as it was done and data isnt lost.
