It appears that Bobby Wagner will continue his illustrious career in a new setting.

The former All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner is expected to test the free-agent market next week and is currently viewed as unlikely to return to the Seattle Seahawks in 2024, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The 33-year-old isn't showing any signs of slowing down and led the league with 183 tackles in 2023. It marked the third time in Wagner's career that he led the NFL in tackles.

Wagner returned to Seattle for his second stint with the franchise after spending the 2022 season with the Los Angeles Rams. He signed a one-year, $5.5-million contract in his return to the Seahawks.

The former second-round pick has been a stalwart of the Seahawks' defense since he was drafted in 2012. The former Utah State star has etched an impressive resume that includes six first-team All-Pro nods and nine Pro Bowl appearances. He was also a key contributor on Seattle's Super Bowl XLVIII roster.

Seattle's defense is in the midst of a makeover following the hire of head coach Mike MacDonald this offseason. Both starting inside linebacker Wagner and Jordyn Brooks are set to explore the market next week. Backup Devin Bush will also be an unrestricted free agent when the new league begins on March 13.

The Seahawks released safeties Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs.
