The San Francisco 49ers are signing former Buffalo Bills pass-rusher Leonard Floyd to a two-year, $20-million deal, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The maximum value of the contract is $24 million, Rapoport adds. Floyd will also receive $12 million guaranteed in the first year of the pact.

The 49ers didn't stop there, also signing former Carolina Panthers defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos to a two-year contract worth $18 million, Rapoport reports.

Floyd and Gross-Matos give the 49ers proven pass-rushers opposite former Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa.

Floyd tied a career high in 2023 with 10.5 sacks. The 31-year-old has posted at least nine sacks in each of the last four seasons.

Gross-Matos registered a career-high 4.5 sacks in 12 games last season.

Floyd spent one year in Buffalo after spending 2020-22 with the Los Angeles Rams. He began his career with the Chicago Bears.

The additions indicate that Chase Young is unlikely to return to the 49ers in free agency.
