The New York Giants are signing veteran running back Devin Singletary, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

New York is giving Singletary a three-year, $16.5-million contract, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The 26-year-old will join a Giants backfield that's been looking for help after losing Saquon Barkley, who agreed to join the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday. Barkley spent the last six seasons in New York, racking up 7,311 scrimmage yards and 47 total touchdowns.

Singletary rushed for a career-high 898 yards (4.2 per carry) and four touchdowns across 17 games with the Houston Texans in 2023. He also had 193 receiving yards. The 26-year-old, who was a 2019 third-round pick, had joined Houston on a one-year deal after spending his first four NFL seasons with the Buffalo Bills.

In New York, Singletary will reunite with head coach Brian Daboll, the Bills' former offensive coordinator.
