Report: Browns signing former Ravens QB Huntley
The Cleveland Browns agreed to terms with former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley, reports Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.
Huntley will likely act as Cleveland's third quarterback after Jameis Winston also joined the club in free agency.
The 26-year-old signed with Baltimore as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and appeared in 20 games (nine starts) across four seasons. He threw for 1,957 yards and eight touchdowns against seven interceptions, rushed for 509 yards, and earned a Pro Bowl nomination as a replacement in 2022.
Cleveland needed to bolster its quarterback room with Deshaun Watson coming off a season-ending shoulder injury and the Indianapolis Colts signing Joe Flacco, who led the Browns to the playoffs after replacing Watson. Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who started three games in 2023, is also on the roster.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski said in January he's confident Watson will be "ready to roll" by spring.
