Scheduling emails in Thunderbird

I attempted to schedule emails on Thunderbird and discovered a plugin called "Send Later" that many recommend. However, it seems that Thunderbird needs to be on at the scheduled time for the messages to be sent correctly. If Thunderbird goes offline, the scheduled messages may not send at the right time. Are there any adjustments that need to be made for messages to be sent even when Thunderbird is offline?
