Colts' Steichen expects Richardson to particpate in OTAs
Indianapolis Colts head coach Stane Steichen provided a positive update Monday on quarterback Anthony Richardson's rehabilitation from shoulder injury.
"I think he'll be good to go for spring practice," said Steichen, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder. "Obviously, we've got to limit it and monitor it and don't go overboard, but I can't be more excited to get him back going again. His limited sample size that he had in those first five weeks were impressive. I mean, he made some plays that I've never seen guys make."
The Colts will hold a voluntary minicamp on April 24-26. The club's OTA workouts are scheduled from May 23-June 8, with a mandatory minicamp set for June 13-15.
Richardson started throwing again in mid-February after suffering a Grade 3 AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder during the Colts' Week 5 win over the Tennessee Titans. Though it was possible to return from the injury without surgery, he underwent a procedure Oct. 24 with an eye on his long-term future.

The 2023 No. 4 overall pick threw for 577 yards and three touchdowns against one interception in four appearances last season and missed one game due to a concussion. He also racked up 136 yards and four scores on the ground.
The Colts fell just short of the playoffs with Gardner Minshew - who left for the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency and was replaced by Joe Flacco - finishing 9-8 after losing a win-and-in game against the Houston Texans in Week 18.
Indianapolis has mostly opted to run back its roster from 2023, focusing on re-signing its key free agents in receiver Michael Pittman Jr, cornerback Kenny Moore, and defensive tackle Grover Stewart, among others.
