Long time slacker finally says hello
by dogemeister from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6KRCM)
Where to begin with all the help LQ has given me over the years? Who knows how many LQ pages I have bookmarked. Been running Slackware for over a decade now.
I was probably first exposed to Linux when I got tired of reinstalling Windows 95 on my old Gateway 2000 and found some version of Puppy Linux to put on it. After that, Lubuntu (back in its LXDE days) became a go-to for other aged machines.
Then came Slackware. Not sure when, not sure where, but I've got an old burnt 13.37 DVD hanging around somewhere. Maybe Slacko Puppy started it all?
All I can say is what a long strange trip its been. Glad I've finally made an account.
Get that Slack!
