Free-agent running back Dalvin Cook believes he can still be a productive rusher in the NFL.

"I've got it all," Cook said, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC Houston. "The tools are still here. I didn't really get no reps last year. So, the legs are fresh, so the resume speaks for itself. I'm still Dalvin Cook. I'm still that guy."

He added: "I don't like to toot my own horn. I just like to go out there, put my helmet on, and line up on the grass."

Cook signed a one-year, $7-million deal with the New York Jets last August after being released by the Minnesota Vikings. He played 50% of the offensive snaps Week 1, but his playing time rapidly declined as the season progressed.

The Jets and Cook agreed to part ways a few days after the club's Week 17 contest against the Cleveland Browns, in which he didn't play a single snap. He totaled only 214 yards on 67 carries and zero touchdowns. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens for their playoff run but didn't play in the conference championship.

"I think last year was really like a learning curve for me," Cook said. "I got kind of itchy."

"I'm going to go earn my spot wherever I go," the four-time Pro Bowler added. "For now, (I'll) just see how everything is going to fill out for everybody. And then, you know me, I'll show up on the scene."

The 28-year-old has 6,207 rushing yards and 47 touchdowns in 88 career games.
