Despite big changes to AFC East teams this offseason, Pro Bowl offensive tackle Terron Armstead is confident the Miami Dolphins possess the pieces to compete in the division.

"It's all in house, it's all in house," he said Monday, according to the NFL Network's Kevin Patra. "We don't really look at all the other moving pieces within the division or around the league because we feel like we have enough. We're talented enough, we're skilled enough, we're tough enough, we just have to do."

Armstead added that the Dolphins aren't focusing on action outside the team's facility.

"It doesn't matter who's traded, we don't look at that. We have enough to beat anybody at full strength, and that's really our mindset. It's our mentality," Armstead said.

Significant changes took place across the AFC East this offseason. Jerod Mayo will make his head coaching debut in 2024 after the New England Patriots parted ways with Bill Belichick. The Buffalo Bills traded star wideout Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans. The New York Jets appear poised to take another step, signing Mike Williams and acquiring Haason Reddick this winter.

The Dolphins were on pace to win the AFC East last year for the first time since 2008 but lost three of their final five regular-season games to drop the division crown. The team ended the campaign by losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild-card round.

Miami lost starters Christian Wilkins, Robert Hunt, and Jerome Baker to free agency this offseason but managed to ink Shaq Barrett, Jordan Poyer, and Kendall Fuller to contracts.

Armstead said Monday that he contemplated retirement over the past few seasons. The 32-year-old standout left tackle added that he told the Dolphins this offseason that he was considering ending his playing career. However, he informed the club in March that he intended to return for a 12th season.
