The Jacksonville Jaguars re-signed franchise-tagged pass-rusher Josh Allen to a five-year extension, the team announced Wednesday.

Allen's extension is worth $150 million and includes $88 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Allen's reported $30-million average annual salary ranks third among defenders, behind Nick Bosa ($34 million) and Chris Jones ($31.75 million), according to Spotrac.

The Jaguars used the one-year, $24-million tender on Allen in early March after he set a franchise record in 2023 with 17.5 sacks, a career-high mark that tied for second in the NFL.

Jacksonville general manager Trent Baalke promised in January that the star defender wouldn't be allowed to leave the AFC South club.

Allen is the seventh player hit with the franchise tag this offseason to land a long-term contract. Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield and Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins - who reportedly requested a trade - are the only franchise-tagged players yet to sign.

Seven of the nine players who were tagged this offseason now have signed long-term deals:

Jaguars' Josh Allen: 5-years, $150 million.

Giants' Brian Burns (trade): 5-years, $141M

Titans' L'Jarius Sneed (trade): 4-years, $76.4M

Ravens' Justin Madubuike: 4-years, $98M...

The Jaguars drafted Allen with the No. 7 pick in 2019. The 26-year-old has racked up 45 sacks and 251 total tackles in 74 games (60 starts).
