File accessed on cloud storage freezes after a few minutes

I am not sure if I am posting in the correct section but here is the problem I have:
Whenever I open a file (word processor, inkscape, you name it!) located in cloud storage and work on it for a few minutes on my laptop I am able to press save once but then If I attempt to save again the file freezes and I have to force close the file in order to use my laptop.
After I force close a file I am unable to open my desktop folder or any other folder thus I have to restart my computer.
The problem only happens on my laptop using wifi. When Im at my office I have several desktops connected via LAN with access to the same cloud and they work without any issues.
My laptop is an old Lenovo T410 8GB Ram running Debian 11 Kernel 6.1.0-0.deb11.17-amd64
I have attempted to use Thunar, Caja, Nemo file managers but this does not resolve the issue.
