Linux on Chromebook

I'm not really new to Linux but am relearning a lot after a brain injury so please bare with me.
My question has to do with running Linux in a container on a chromebook. Is it possible to have multiple bistros, each on its own microsd card, and run whichever one I choose at any given time?
