Pipewire and dwm
by unInstance from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6N7FG)
I want to use DWM tiling window manager and Pipewire on Slackware 15.0 -current.
I run /usr/sbin/pipewire-enable.sh, reboot the system, and the programs that play audio do not start with messages like "failed to connect to pulse-audio".
If I understand this correctly, pipewire does not have a traditional UNIX daemon and is meant to be started according to XDG autostart specification. I do not use GNOME, KDE or the like bloat so this XDG is a problem as dwm does not support it.
1. Is my understaindig of Pipewire and XDG correct?
2. How can I use Pipewire with dwm?
