mkinitrd initrd-tree in another directory
by slackerz from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6NAGK)
mkinitrd creates initrd-tree in the /boot directory.
The tree has symbolic links in it. My /boot fs doesn't support symbolic links. As a result the initrd image ends up incomplete.
Anyone know if the initrd-tree can be created in a tmp/swap directory instead?
