[SOLVED] Cant use rc.inet1 to bring up network
by pm_a_cup_of_tea from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6NAJY)
I have a couple of weeks off and have been playing around with current. Today I did a fresh install and setup the network using dhcp.
All was good on the first boot and I had an internet connection. I downloaded my sbopkg and slackpkg+ and installed my usual basic preliminary software from slackbuilds.
Code:noto-emoji
calibre-bin
sasm
bubblewrap
ostree
gcab
appstream-glib
xdg-desktop-portal-gtk
flatpak
slackware-grub2-themeBeyond some very basic configuration to ntp, profile.d/, inittab etc this is all I get up to. On reboot I lose internet access. I ahve repeated the process 4 times now. I am able to gain access by NetworkManager but never able to ustilse inet1 after the first reboot.
I am not sure what further information I can include but am willing to follow suggestions.
EDIT: I should also add that after the first reboot when i lose the connection I:
Code:$ /etc/rc,d/rc/inet1 restartwithout any success.
