NAK: no leases left

I just rebooted my home Linux computer. On the screen I get:
Code:soliciting a DHCP lease
offered 192.168.0.17 from 192.168.0.1
NAK: no leases leftThis repeats. I've never seen this before. Posts I've read on this have to do with dnsmasq, which I'm not running. The "offered" IP of 192.168.0.17 is the usual one for this device. 192.168.0.1 is an ASUS router and the only DHCP server in the LAN. It does assign IP 192.168.0.17 to this computer as a DHCP reservation.

What is this and how do I fix it?
