Help a newbie to solve the Linux OS problems
by Saidosa from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6NE3K)
Hello!
I had a lot of problems with OpenSuse Leap, so I hoped that with re -installing OS Ubuntu all problems are eliminated. Apparently I was completely wrong. It is no longer fun to use Linux at this moment, but I don't want to give up yet and hope to find the solution.
First problem:
After installing Ubuntu, I removed CMOS battery for the whole day when I put the battery back in and started laptop, it has been published that the numbers 5 and 6 no longer work. I entered the "XEV event Keyboard" terminal and then carried out the necessary steps, unfortunately it didn't help. But now, very important: I uninstalled keyboard drivers in the terminal and then installed it again. And I couldn't believe what happened later. After restarting the laptop, Ubuntu OS cannot start, it shows an underscore in the top left in the corner and gets stuck. I wanted to say goodbye and install Windows or something like that.
I hope there is a way to repair it in safe mode. Since unfortunately it is not possible to repair it automatically and because I am a beginner, I need your support. I really want to avoid reinstalling the OS again. Because my head already says what if such problems accumulate in the future, do I have to reinstall the OS again and again? Somehow this is a complete nonsense, not understandable at all, how uninstalling and reinstalling keyboard drivers could damage the OS so that it no longer starts?

Second problem:

Unfortunately, the problem did not resolve after I installed Ubuntu. When I had OpenSUSE Leap before, I mistakenly set something incorrectly out of unknowingness, which caused this issue. It is said to be a 'cosmetic' issue, but I do not share this view, I still want to have repaired it.
I hope you guys can help me!
Thanks.
