Virtual machines : clones or different ?

Hi,

I use Linux and Virtualbox is installed on it.

My question is: if I create 2 vm with virtualbox, are they considered as 2 differents motherboard or exactly a clone ?
Question related to the first : does vm have serial number or revision number (mother board, bios, processor, ...) to differentiate them ?
