How to know what block device is created for a newly inserted USB
by Basher52 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6NN14)
This is when installing Arch so if some programs is needed that isn't at the installation prompt I need to install it. At this point I have no access to AUR so any program needs to be in 'Core', 'Extra' or 'Multilib'
Can't find any command that can do this and I haven't found any way to join some up to get this.
eg.
- I insert a USB with the Arch installation image on.
- Boot on that so the first installation prompt comes up.
- at this point I need to run my script that is supposed to automount another just inserted USB into /mnt/USB (this dir is created in the script). This way I know the exact path where it is without any manual intervention. There gotta be a way as there are automount programs but I need to mount it to an exact dir that I know about.
Any ideas?
