Looking for PCI vendor ID and device ID of dlink dub-1320 expresscard usb card
by mukkerotri from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6NYHM)
I want to add usb3.0 support to my old laptop. For the built-in usb ports, it only has usb2.0, but it also has a (currently unused) expresscard54 slot.
I plan to buy an expresscard card providing usb3.0 ports. The most easily available card I see is marketed as dlink dub-1320. But after some research I came to the conclusion that "dlink dub-1320" is only a "marketing", "brand" name, and the real hardware in the card (that defines the PCI ID and the required driver) is different (just like with the famous open-source-firmware atheros ar9271 usb wi-fi card: the "real" hardware name is atheros ar9271, USB ID 0cf3:9271, but the "marketing" name may vary a lot, for example "tp-link wn722nv1", and "v1" is very crucial here, "v2" means some proprietary trash instead).
So, I am wondering: does anyone has experience with "dlink dub-1320"? What is the real hardware? What are the PCI vendor ID and device ID?
