Question about all AMD laptop.

I looking at buying all-AMD gaming laptop with a Ryzen 7840HS processor and a dedicated AMD RX 6550M GPU. This laptop also has a mux switch for switching between the integrated and dedicated GPU. I'm wondering if it's possible to completely bypass the integrated GPU on the CPU and use only the dedicated GPU. Or alternatively specify to use the dedicated GPU on certain programs. I know how to do this on my current laptop that has a nvidia card, but I just wanted to see if anyone can confirm this is also possible on a all AMD setup.
