Batch convert JPG to HEIF

I almost used up my free Google Photo space, instead of paying the subscription or reduce to space saver format, I decided to replace the JPG files with HEIF. I need to convert the JPG to HEIF first, there are few ways to do that, and I installed Imagemagick, but I couldn't run it, the common syntax was not correct, what should I put to convert all JPG on a folder to HEIF with all exif data intact ? thanks !
