autofs - valid share but I get no such file or directory

Hi,
I'm trying to make use of autofs, but sense I'm missing something.

Installation and setup of autofs seems to have gone reasonably well (systemd, cifs share exclusively).

Testing with something like

Code:ls /cifs/myserver/avalidsharelists the available directories and files in avalidshare.

However, when I try to open a directory or file I get "no such file or directory"

As I said, I've missed something, like maybe an additional process to complete the mount process on the client machine?

Any help?
