distrobox from SBO in Slackware 15.0: unclear on first step
by jr_bob_dobbs from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6P9HJ)
On my Slackware 15.0 (x86 64 bit plus Alien Bob's multilib) partition, I've recently installed distrobox and its dependencies (podman, etc,.), all from slackbuilds.org (aka SBO). I'm interested in giving this a try to see how it works. I've enabled sudo.
I have two questions, which block each other so that I am stuck in figuring this out.
One: how can I tell if it is working?
Two: I can't find, in the man pages or on-line tutorials, the equivalent of a "distrobox --list-what-containers-are-out-there-that-i-can-fetch" command. Obviously, to fetch a container, one must know the exact specific name, comprising its URL, its name, its version and possibly its build varient. There is a list command, but that only lists what containers are already on the hard drive (which is zero, at the moment).
Thank you.
