Installing Slackware on a Intel NUC PAB i7
by pwak from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6PP2A)
I am trying to load Slackware current (8-1-2024) on a Intel NUC PAB i7. I created the usb boot stick with the script from the Slackware installer directory.
When using the usb boot stick to boot the NUC i7, it has the prompt to enter additional kernal option or press enter to just boot the generic kernel. I press enter then get the following
ELILO boot:
Loading kernel \huge.s... done
Loading file \initrd.img... done
Then nothing after that.
This was a bare bones computer so it did not have any windows on it. I have disabled secure boot from the bios menu.
I also created a Linux Mint usb installation stick. I was able to boot the NUC i7 with the Linux Mint usb stick.
