Problem with curlftpfs

curlftpfs-0.9.2 no longer works for me with slackware64-current's recent curl-8.9.0 and curl-8.9.1 packages. The last curl slackware package which works for me with curlftpfs is curl-8.8.0-x86_64-3.txz.
Does anyone who happens to use curlftpfs have a work-around for this?
