Kernel panic not enough memory after shutdown (Ubuntu)

When shutting down my computer from the desktop rather than the physical power button I get a long kernel panic message that basically says not enough memory for the allocation. However there is never any issues when using my pc, only when I try to shutdown form my desktop. I never have any issues starting my computer and I have 16GB of ddr4 so I know that there isnit a memory issue. Is it possible that I have a memory leak and if so how would I track that down?
