How to format a hard drive with Linux installed
by Flatulus Maximus from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6PT8N)
I know this is heresy, and I apologize in advance! I have a spare laptop that I want to install an older version of Windows on so I can utilize some older programs. The current HDD is formatted ext4, and has Mint installed. I'd like to reformat it to ntfs, then install Win 7 from a DVD. How do I do this? Everything I've tried comes up against the partition is mounted. (I still have and use another Linux laptop, so I'm not bailing out entirely!)
