USA set up GB showdown in women’s 4x100m relay after surviving close call

Team GB have made it into the finals of the 4x100m relays in both the women's and the men's competition, after the opening of the event at the Stade de France.

But there were tense moments for the favourites in the women's competition, after the USA runners came perilously close to being disqualified, after a mistake in their second handover. There was a further shock in the men's competition as Jamaica failed to qualify for the final after a series of botched handovers.
