opencv python bindings

opencv was added to 15.0 a while back (day of the Big Merge(tm)) but without the python bindings that had existed when it was a SlackBuild on SBo.
Including python bindings in opencv itself would be ideal but previous requests to include them have been unsuccessful. Therefore I've been working on a way to add opencv python bindings without having to rebuild opencv itself and now have a mechanism that seems to work.
I don't want to reinvent or duplicate work someone else has already done so, before I submit a SlackBuild to SBo, has anyone already found a way to do this?
