Which Distros Support Secure-Boot?
by DMLinux from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6Q3PA)
I currently have PCLOS-Deb running on my HP 15dy2152wm with Secure-Boot disabled. Considering that Windows 10 has a date with assassination on 25 October 2025, my next laptop will have to dual boot with Windows 11. Not being one to wait until the last minute, it is plan-ahead time. PCLOS (any version) does not support Secure-Boot, so I will have to switch to a different distro if they don't add support. So which distros (other than Mint and Ubuntu) support Secure-Boot? I am sure I am not the only person with that question. I have tried Google and DuckDuckGo finding several links about how to install Ubuntu and Mint, but I can't believe those are the only distros with Secure-Boot support.
I do not do gaming or anything graphics intense, But I need something that is very stable. I spend most of my time on Ancestry, FamilySearch and FindAGrave. I use FamilyTreeMaker to keep au up-to-date backup of the online tree on my computer. Sometimes, I have A LOT of browser tabs open.
If this post results in a list of several known secure-boot supporting distros, I will make an effort to keep it organized and maybe it can be made a sticky.
