Clean install after MBR>GPT no boot
by gchandler from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6Q4BE)
I had a dual boot setup of Windows 10 Pro and Linux Mint 21.3 (both 64bit). Converted SSD from MBR to GPT, deleted all partitions and did a clean install of Windows and afterwards Linux Mint 22. Now when I boot I get the grub rescue prompt, so there seems to be a residual grub install without any configuration that I don't know about. I thought deleting all partitions would give me a clean drive? Both OS's work okay, but booting requires I first select the boot option for that in BIOS startup. How do I configure a grub install on this now GPT dusk that will work?
