Installing software from Documents
by Scooterman from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6Q4V7)
Hi
This is my first post here.
I've installed Linux on a Raspberry Pi 5 and everything works fine. I've updated and upgraded and I'm connected via my wifi. The problem I'm having at the moment is I'm trying to install a copy of Wifite 2.
I've already downloaded this software to my Windows desktop computer because I wasn't happy with the default wordlist, so I changed it for a copy of Rockyou.txt instead. I've now added the software to my Linux Documents folder, ready to upload it into Linux. I've CD'd into Documents and LS to make sure the Wifite is there, and it's all OK.
But when I go to load it with "sudo apt install wifite" it says it can't find it. But it's there in Documents and I'm in Documents, so why can't it see the software.
I can't understand why it keeps saying it can't find it.
Perhaps some one can tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks a lot.
Michael .
