Will Linux OS computers boot from a portable Tails USB drive now that Microsoft has made it impossible to boot on a Windows machine?
by Nosmod from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6Q718)
Knowing NOTHING of computers or Linux I have recently gotten interested in running Tails portable OS for privacy. I successfully booted and used the OS two times before the Windows update on 8/20/24 made it impossible to use on my Windows 11 computer any more.
What a coincidence that Windows AI assistant will now be logging your every move.
Wonder who would be interested in that?
Now that yet another avenue of privacy has been compromised...
I am now wondering how to get booted back to Tails and am considering if I have to purchase a Linux laptop. Will this solve the problem?
Thanks!
