Data Recovery from SD card

Hi all,
I have a Nikon DSLR with a 128Gb SD card installed. It was working fine for both photos and videos for over a year, but has since failed. Must be some sort of corruption as nothing I've tried has been able to detect any data on it, nor even any kind of filesystem, using the limited number of utilities that come bundled with MX linux.
Any suggestions as to how to proceed with this one? I'd like to recover the media on this card if at all possible.
