802.11ac interference mitigation methods
by newmoon from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6Q8HQ)
Hi:
I write and edit most of the documentation for the FreshTomato open source router firmware project. Since the code is Linux-based, I thought I might get help here.
On this subject, I've found absolutely zero using search engines and AI assistants and the project contributors don't seem to know anything either.
In FreshTomato, there's a WiFi feature called AC-PHY Interference mitigation.
It has three main options:
- desense with glitch count
- limit pktgain based on hwaci
- limit pktgain based on w2/nb
I've tried to use logical deduction to figure out what each option does, based on definitions of key words like "desense" and "glitch", but I'm no expert, and I have no idea if I'm even in the ballpark.
Can anyone tell me about these three mitigation methods?
Thanks
