Tried updating Slackware 6.9.1 to 6.10.6 gpg, no network, booting previous kernel

Hello fellow Slackers!
I am tried updating Slackware from 6.9.1 to 6.10.6, however it stopped updating because it requested to re-run slackpkg update, and I did, but at some point when I realized that it didn't update all the way the gpg was failing. As a result, I rebooted, and my kernel backup is the only one working, 6.6.11.
My elilo.conf gets read issues and it's blank when I open it. I also have rEFInd installed, which refind.conf also comes blank and read issues. I thought I was going to install other distros, but I haven't.
I removed and copied the vmlinuz-generic-6.9.1 to /EFI/Slackware again in case it was corrupt but it's not coming up.
No network either. I have DHCP since I have it wired, although it's a Framework laptop. Very finnicky but with Alienbob's live cd I was able to get it working some years ago.
I was about to reinstall the image but it still doesn't explain what happened and once I start installing I don't want to go through the ordeal as before where the OS is not seen.
I tried updating the BIOS from 3.10 to 3.17 but it keeps failing.
I did update to gnupg2 before, this is how I got to 6.9.1. Anymore experienced this and knows what is going on? Furthermore, anyone know what I can do? (besides throwing anything away :))
I played with the mirrors in case it was not connecting to one.
This is how I updated:
slackpkg update
slackpkg install-new
slackpkg install-multilib (I have multilib)
slackpkg upgrade-all (kernel-generic & module was not downloaded because I have them blacklisted to do it after manually so I have a backup)
I appreciate any help.
