Help Needed: Dual Boot Issues After Installing Ubuntu
by Salo from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6QCTG)
Hi everyone,
I recently installed Ubuntu using a tutorial, aiming to dual boot with my existing Windows installation. Everything seemed to go smoothly, and Ubuntu is up and running. However, I'm facing an issue with the boot menu not appearing after restarting my PC.
When I enter the BIOS, the only boot option shown is the 500GB SSD where Ubuntu is installed. My Windows installation is on a separate 1TB SSD, and I'm certain the files are still there because I can access them from within Ubuntu.
I've tried several solutions, but nothing has worked so far. After enabling "Launch CSM" in the BIOS, I finally saw my 1TB drive in the boot menu, but it's listed under the drive's name and not as "Windows OS." When I select it, I get the following error message:
iReboot and select proper boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key.i
Iim convinced thereis a way to access my Windows installation since the files are intact, but Iim stuck on how to proceed.
If anyone has experienced this or has any advice, Iid really appreciate your help. This is quite urgent for me because I rely on Windows for most tasks outside of coding, like gaming.
Thank you in advance!
P.S. Iive also posted this on other communitzs for additional visibility.
