Install LM 22_dual boot on legacy BIOS / MBR machine: No EFI partition...'likely won't boot

This is a 2009 HP BIOS desktop.
No options in BIOS setup for uefi or gpt / mbr. BIOS: American Megatrends v: 5.21 date: 12/17/2008
*A* Main reason to dual boot is an old (good) logitech wireless keyboard loses function after (some) power outages. Only way to get it working is boot Vista, run the keybd setup again.
* Currently, LM 20.3 installed dual boot w/ Vista (it's using MBR).
LM & Vista are on separate HDDs. Boots fine in either.
Mint 22 ISO (on DVD - don't think this HP supports USB booting?) - installing using "Something Else" option, & changing / using SAME partitions as LM 20, gives:

1. Can the EFI warning be ignored & LM 22 likely install & dual boot work w/ Vista, in this case?
Read a dozen+ articles & posts about EFI warning, installing for dual boot on BIOS / MBR systems (Vista is MBR), but missed if any said "ignore the EFI warning" in this case.
2. Didn't see an EFI warning during dual boot install of LM 20.2 / 20.3. ?Started w/ LM 21/22?
Thanks.
