I can't get color for man pages.

I cannot find the answer for this: I tried 'most' pager as well as termcap definitions. The only color I can get is a blue status line in most.
The closest to highlighting colors is bold highlights for the parts that normally are different colors.
I am running Mint22 & cinnamon.
