not getting instant email notification_thread replies

I see under MyLQ, Edit Options, Default Thread Subscrip. mode,
"instant email notification" is selected, but I'm not getting them.
In order for it to work, must "Receive Email from Administrators" BE checked?
Just above that option, is explanation,
