SSHD Upgrade to V9.8 from Slackware 15?

I'm running Slackware 15 on several machines for stability reasons.
This includes OpenSSH V8.8
Our site IT manager has asked me to upgrade my OpenSSH to V9.8 for security reasons.
I notice Slackware Current includes V9.8
Is it possible to install just the OpenSSh V9.8 from Current, or am I
better off moving to a complete install of Current.
