Moved and lost internet (on 1 machine)

I've had Debian 12 working fairly well on my Raspberry Pi 4 for a couple years and then I had to move. I can't connect to anything from it even though I've been replacing my /etc/network/interfaces file with all the new numbers. I have a phone and a Chromebook working on the new network. So I can't post actual files or error messages here, my chromebook won't read/mount a Linux sd, I'm working blind.

Odd things: if I do "ip address show" I get a "no-carrier" on this (built-in) wifi. ifconfig looks partly normal except I see an Ethernet address listed. ping 8.8.8.8 says "network is unreachable", ping 127.0.0.1 works. rfkill isn't blocking.

The exact same machine was working so it doesn't seem like a driver issue. I'm just a different customer to the same fiber optic network.
