Hey folks,

I guess you could say I'm not a linux noob and yet I'm definitely no pro. Been running mint on various old laptops for maybe 5 years. I even tried ubuntu and KDE Neon.

But I just recently bought a new framework laptop and decided that I like the concept of LMDE. So I installed it as my main OS going forward. Here are my system specs:

I think maybe thats too much info but maybe the relevant things are buried in there somewhere. :rolleyes: I left windows behind many years ago because I consider their telemetry to be unacceptable. However, my wife loves her windows 10 so I decided, in an effort to please her, that I would compromise. I decided to install a virtual machine win 10 and that way I will be in control of it's telemetry hopefully. lol.

I decided to use Qemu=kvm and virt manager. I have never used qemu before but doesnt it come baked into the kernel? I'm not sure about that but I tried to run Quote:
sudo apt install qemu-system-x86
and I get many errors. Maybe something went wrong with my LMDE installation? Here are the errors:
