[SOLVED] slackware64-current tigervnc--1.14.0 - missing libavcodec.so.6
by zdolar from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6QVHZ)
Hi.
Slackware64-current official repository /extra/tigervnc-1.14.0-x86_64-3
This application is dependent on libavcodec.so.61 that is NOT installed:
Code:/usr/bin/vncviewer: error while loading shared libraries: libavcodec.so.61: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryOfficial ffmpeg-6.1.1 installs libavcodec.so.60.31.102
The new ffmpeg-7.0.2 package from Alien's repository contains that missing file. But installing that package will replace ffmpeg-6.1.1 and so disable so many programs in Slackware dependent on it.
How to solve that? One possibility (don't like it) is downgrade to older tigervnc-1.13.
Other options?
